Amplifying women’s visibility in the media

As at 2024, just 27%* of sports coverage in NZ is about women’s sport.

To continue to improve this, a key action that we keep hearing is that we are all responsible for connecting, sharing and asking for more stories about women in sport from our media.  So below are the details of local media in Waitaha who YOU should contact if you have a story that you want to reach the wider community

Tatiana Gibbs at Stuff | The Press

Tatiana is particularly interested in profiles on local people, or groups, achieving or doing cool things in sport, which get published every Thursday (Be sure to read them as it keeps stories like these being told!)
